Method 1: Bank Draft

1. Have your bank create a bank draft payable to eXp Realty – In Trust for the deposit amount

2. Notify Alice once the draft is ready for pick up

3. Provide Alice with: Deposit bank account number, names of all account holders & type of account

OR

Method 2: Direct Deposit

Available through the following banks:
CIBC, BMO, Scotiabank, RBC, National Bank, Tangerine, PC Financial, Coast Capital, Vancity, Simplii, Coastal Community

1.  Add payee: EXP REALTY TRUST ACCOUNT (BC)

2. Enter account number: 98765 (or 987654 if 6 digits are required)

3. Enter the deposit amount

4. Include the property address as the payment reference

5. Submit the deposit and send me a screenshot of the bank confirmation

6. Provide Alice with: Deposit bank account number, names of all account holders & type of account

Your deposit is considered submitted once the bank payment has been completed. The brokerage will confirm receipt within 3–4 business days.

 
Deposit FAQS

Where does my deposit go?

Your deposit is held in a trust account with my brokerage, eXp Realty. It remains there until it is transferred to the lawyer prior to closing.

Does my deposit count toward my down payment?

Yes. Your deposit forms part of your total down payment.

What happens to my deposit if I back out before closing?

In most cases, the deposit will be forfeited to the seller.

Why do you need my account information?

The Provincial Government of BC requires a FINTRAC Record of Funds form to be submitted whenever a deposit is paid. This form was introduced to help combat money laundering.
